What is Echoo Reforest?
Echoo Reforest is a land restoration project in Madeira focused on reforestation and carbon sequestration. Supported by SOU, it ensures the land is managed and maintained over time, adapting to its needs while contributing to a more resilient and sustainable local ecosystem.
Why reforest this specific area?
By reforesting this area, it is possible to restore the natural balance: plants help hold the soil together, absorb water, and protect the entire ecosystem — including the lower-lying areas that could be affected.
What kind of trees are being planted?
In this project we are planting edemic trees like, Faya.
In the future we might have to plant other species to ensure the sustainability of the ecosystem.
How can I contribute to the project?

How much of each purchase goes into the project?
There isn’t a fixed amount allocated per product. Instead, SOU as a whole is financially and logistically responsible for the land and everything that happens within it.
This means that every purchase contributes to the bigger picture: nurturing the project, caring for the land, and allowing it to evolve over time.
